30th Street Specific Area Plan

The City of Boise and Ada County Highway District (ACHD) have initiated a cooperative effort to work with businesses and residents to shape the 30th Street area's future. The 30th Street Area Plan will guide the City of Boise and will be considered by ACHD in making decisions concerning land use, transit services and amenities, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, streetscapes, redevelopment initiatives, the use and development of key City-owned properties, and investment in recreation within the area.

Public Input Wanted
Public comment is sought on the 30th Street draft Charrette Report and draft Market Strategy. Boise City and the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) welcome your thoughts, suggestions and concerns. The public comment period ends April 30th. Please e-mail your comments and inquiries; they will be entered into the public record and will assist Boise City and ACHD in moving toward drafting the 30th Street Specific Area Plan.

 The Charrette Report provides a summary of preliminary design and development proposals prepared during the 30th Street Design Charrette. Over the course of the next two months, these preliminary proposals will be reviewed in community meetings and refined and adjusted based on additional technical analyses and feedback from the City of Boise, Ada County Highway District (ACHD), and the community.

Intent of the Charrette Document
The results of charrette are not intended to represent the final outcome of the planning process for the 30th Street Area, but rather a step in the overall process. This report documents the results of charrette and is a tool to assist in the review and analysis of the proposals and concepts that evolved during charrette. These proposals and concepts will be shaped into a specific area plan for the study area based on input from the public and key stakeholders. The final report will include refinements to these proposals as well as more detailed summaries of the planning team’s analyses and recommendations.
